I live in the Baltimore market, one of whose stations is Hearst-owned NBC affiliate WBAL-11, which, like the other Baltimore stations, I pick up via DirecTV.
Lately, during their newscasts, WBAL has been running occasional crawls across the screen telling viewers that Hearst Television has been negotiating with DirecTV over a new carriage agreement, and warning that the current agreement expires 1/1/2011.
This should remind my fellow DirecTV customers of last winter, when DirecTV pulled the plug on Vs. (temporarily) over a carriage fee dispute.
Does anyone know the state of the Hearst/DirecTV negotiations? I did a R-I search and found no mention of such.
