That's so very nice to hear. But, who will be on is what people want to know.

Until those announcements are officially made, please refrain from your cheerleader posts. Thanks.
______________

I've heard that story before from many broadcast companies, talk, rock, hip-hop, ac, or whatever and it hasn't happened yet! Rather than come to this board and boast about what your going to accomplish in this market don't you think you'd better put something on the air to back up your boasts, because what I've been hearing so far isn't so great! The current stunting is just a very clear
indication of Infinity's lack of planning for a staff and management team able to program a station purchased over seven months ago. But then I guess I need
to remember that this is Infinity Broadcasting were talking about!

Again, I've got to ask: How many talk stations will it take to derail KGO's success in the bay area? They may dilute the audience with all these stations but the substance of KGO's programming and ratings success will never be equaled or surpassed by any wannabee talk stations AM or FM!!!

Gosh, Kiffer -- we're thrilled! Imagine, someone from deep within the bowels of a REAL radio station actually coming onto our wee little board and shilling away!

So ... why the cloak of anonymity? Are you in marketing and promotions? Are you a wannabee using a fake username, with no real connection to the station? Are you trying to create some buzz by coming on here and dropping a few hints (which you can't flesh out on account of phoney-baloney "legal reasons")?

Come on, Kiff buddy. If you want us to be early adopters and help spread the word, then give us meat, not bullpoop. Put up or shut up. Give us some facts ... or go away.

And Promise us that "Old Ken Kohl" will be doing his classless/tasteless promos like the one he ran on KNEW..."(sfx car crash) That was the sound of KGO's Mickey Luckoff driving off the Golden Gate Bridge when he found Out KNEW now has Michael Savage"... They call It "Free FM", cause no one will want buy it.
Love the Stunt Tape...The subtle construction sounds...Oh Wow! they must be building a new radio station...Man you guys are Good !

And It only took you what? 4 or 5 months to come up with that...I can't Wait...Oh wait! Yes I can.

You people are all unbelievable. If you actually were on the INSIDE.....you might be allowed to have an opinion. But since it is obvious you aren't....Just wait till the station is on the air to judge.

How About This

Hey..here's a great stunting idea for you KIFFER.....

Put up or SHUT UP.

Is the budget so absent at your station that this is the best they can do for promotion and publicity.

Don't worry folks..six months later our friend will be touting.."Watch out for country-talk-churban!"

Once you've heard one talk station you've heard them all! By the way I don't need to be on the "Inside" to know that this station will be the same O same O!
Only the names will be different, because the issues stay the same more or less! I say this as a listener of talk radio for over 38 years.

When this "New Station" finally gets on the air it will be just another talk
station because you can't teach an old dog new tricks! An I certainly don't need your permission to have an opinion for or about anything now or ever!

Oh! by the way the engineering staff better get cracking to improve the signal coverage in the south, north, and the east bay because this signal has problems! Which is why Family Radio sold the thing anyway, Harold Camping is laughing all the way to the bank.

I don't know WHO you are, or who you think you are, but from what I have ready from your posts, you don't seem to have 1 bit of positive feedback to contribute. I don't know why you feel you need to be so negative about things and situations you know nothing about. Of course you are entitled to your opinion, but again...I just say give it a freakin chance. Don't kill the baby before it is even born for petes sake. I am just sick of seeing people here who know nothing about radio and never have been in radio commenting about it. I know you wish you were in a positive fun atmosphere like some of us are, but it doesn't mean you have to crap on the people who are having a great time loving their jobs.

Yeah...You can always count on Allison...BTW, at the end of the day, all major market talk station sound the same. Just the name of the game. Stand out, but not too far. It's all about talent and marketing for talk stations...whatever kind of talk it is...

Blackhole, where is this positive fun atmosphere you speak of? :)

Blackhole,

I'm happy you're having a great time and that you love your job, you must have one hell of a gig - don't leave it.

I've been in radio for awhile now and I'm not sure I can sum up radio as "a positive fun atmosphere", ok maybe fun (at times), but not positive by any means.

Radio is filled with different personalities and would make for some interesting Reality TV.
______________

Enginerd...Just a guess here..."Whaddya doin"? If that makes any sense to you, let me know. :)

Re: I want more

Maybe it's just me, but lately on the radio nothing has been satisfying my taste, I guess this is a "stunt" for a new upcoming radio station that is going to be talk radio... well (BLEEP) where can I get a copy of this one hour looped tape? where will I find MORE stuff like this collection of sounds beats rhymes lyrics press speaches movie clips and interviews? this one hour loop is awesome. I'm sorry you other radio fanatics don't appriciate the "music" as much as I do, it reminds me of a song by The Avalanche, called "Frontier Psychiatrist" I enjoy this, and I would be more than happy to hear more of it. Untill that time that this loop is taken off the radio, my preset for 106.9 will remain as my #1. I wish you all good luck with your ranting and raving about ME, or just pass me up like everyone else. we need a good station that will play more "songs" or "tapes" like this, only not a one hour loop... they should be 3 hours long, and there should be at least 100 of them. I think 300 hours would be a nice loop especially as random and mixed and diverse as this "loop" is.

MY 2 Cents in a world of chaos, and to think I'd find good things after searching for just only 5 minutes for SOMETHING on this wonderfull loop. and yes, I could care less what talk hosts or what company owns the numbers.... i just want a bigger longer loop like the one playing.

I thought I was the only freak who liked this thing. I totally agree, it sounds killer. The drops work really well and the music they used is great. I can only identify a few of the songs and I really wish I knew what the rest of them were.

Also I absolutely LOVE Frontier Psychiatrist!

Re: I want more

You can thank the production genius gods at a sister Infinity station for that.
