WLYF is one of the few local stations with a history page that is actually station history and not a self-serving marketing page.

For example, the history page of WJNA or WFTL (I forgot which -- maybe both) tells about the short history of James Crystal, and nothing at all of the station's previous history.

Most radio stations today devote more web site space to their deejays' pet peeves and favorite celebrities than anything meaningful.

Of course we're radio geeks. Your typical listener is more interested in Paris Hilton's dog. Or pussycat.
