"The Hit Music Space" Slogan

I've noticed some of CC's CHRs are now using the slogan "The Hit Music Space," trying to connect themselves with myspace. What do you guys think of this? Smart or lame?

Lame.

Another transparent attempt of radio trying to sound relevant.

I've noticed this too. I don't think it's as bad as you are saying, but it's not my personal favorite.

Among CHRs using it: WKSC/Chicago, WKSS/Hartford, WKQI/Detroit, WFKS/Jacksonville.

Dom Theodore consults all of those stations that are using this slogan.

And after Facebook loses popularity, the next new social networking site will come around. I said it before and I'll say it again: build your station around YOUR STATION, not the latest fad. Make your station the place where the latest fad is found, don't make the latest fad where your station is found.

The idea for this slogan was stupid and shortsighted. It got the stations nowhere.
