Langston Hughes' house is up for sale. Now this is a house! What fun I could have fixing this baby up! I do not note that there is a slumber niche in the front room; however, I do note in Photograph No. 6 a coffin corner in the staircase. What is a coffin corner? It is a "niche" at the curve of a staircase on which to place a coffin as it is carried up the stairs, so that the coffin may be turned without damaging the walls; and it is also used when carrying the coffin down the stairs for the same purpose.
