The Howard Stern Interview

J

Yesterday, I caught the Sean Hannity interview with Howard Stern on the way home on WOKV. What I found interesting was that both showed respect for each other and Sean actually did a great job keeping the interview focussed.

I'm no Hannity fan but it was good hearing him not drown out his guest. It was talk radio at it's best. There was a lot of inside radio stuff discussed mainly around Howard's competition and it's apparent both have a very strong affection for the radio medium. So much of that passion is absent in today's broadcasters. Here is the audio. Listen and decide.

Stern Interview

That's because Hannity knows Stern would rip him to shreads and he would have been right-on. THAT would have been an interesting interview.

Guys like O'Reilley and Hannity talk a big game but when somebody who really knows their stuff is on their shows (which is rarely), that arrogant smirk and attitude get dialed way down.

Did you listen to the interview? You missed Johnny's point. Do you also think God is "a little man in the sky who doesn't exist"? Do you think my fellow Catholic Sean Hannity with that arrogant smirk is wrong? About what?

Please answer without disrespecting our Moderator Braswell. who I think should have already whacked you!

Go figure Oldies Cat a liberal what a surprise!!!

In a battle between Stern and Hannity, I have no favorite. Both run their collective mouths, ad nauseum, saying little of value.

That's not a liberal or conservative point of view...it's MY point of view.

As for the comment about Oldies Cat being a liberal, so what? If he is, he is, and if he isn't, he isn't. That has nothing to do with his ability to make comments here.

Stern Interview

Oldiescat is a moderate (as defined by most typical Americans and not by the far left or the far right wingers) who recognizes the pile of manure being shoved down our throats these days for what it is.

I'm not a Stern fan at all (his content, lewdness, etc.) but I do have respect for his willingness to put himself out there and not worry about how he looks politically, etc. Hate his show but I have to give him props in many other areas.

Stern

Except in the Off-The-Air area.

C'mon. Stop defending Oldiescat. Now he must have
you in HIS pocket. What happened to mburg? We ALL
know OC is a Yankee wanna-be Gatorized Southern
Redneck at heart. Okay, I promise, next post will
have some merit to it. LOL to you both, in a RI
sort of way.

dope is for dopes LOL

that must be some GOOOOOD crack you're smoking. "Gatorized southern redneck"?
Man, I'm so 'up north' it's not funny. I hate grits, do mustard-only ballpark franks at Tigers games and have vacationed in the U.P.

I hope you got the GATORized reference. Totally agree
on the grits and dogs. Need to consider the UP. 43 years
in the Souf (for most of it...that is....)
and still can't do the grits, but Waffle House at the
right time of the "day" still rocks.

gator-what?

Not really.

I give him no credit at all. He learned how to work the system that's all. As far as putting himself "out there" it's all for the money. He's just as greedy as the CBS execs that he slams. I don't think howard stern has done anything uplifting for radio, period.

The whole shock jock thing gets boring fast.
