The "i" In The "i" Network May Mean "Ion"

The "i" SHOULD stand for "Infomercial"!

I just went through the "i" schedule and found a whopping 118½ hours of "Paid Programming" this week alone! With 168 hours in a week, that leaves only 49.5 hours a week of regular shows.

Paid Programming 3/1 to 3/7/06:
12-6 AM: (except for "Gospel Superfest" Saturday 4-5AM) 41 hrs
6-6:30 AM (3/1,2,5,6).....................................................2 hrs
7-8:30 AM (except 3/5)...................................................9½ hrs
8:30-9 AM (3/4)................................................................½ hr
9 AM-6 PM (except Zola Levitt 9:30-10 3/2).....................62½ hrs
11:30-Mid. (except 3/5)...................................................3 hrs
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
TOTAL.......................................................................118½ hrs

...and why do they bury Zola and Superfest amongst all of em? Couldn't they sell those times too?

They probably did -- to Zola and Superfest. Most religious shows on-air are paid for by the producers, just like infomercials.

It's the excess of infomercials that led DirecTV to drop Pax/"i"
according to their crawls.

I think that all so called "religious" shows are paid programs.
And they are infomercials, infomecials for Satan!<P ID="signature">______________

If the FCC still gave a rat's behind about stations serving the public interest, Pax/i would not exist to begin with.

The best thing for them at this point would be to sell off their transmitters-
for-hire to someone capable of running programs people would actually watch. The CW, maybe? In their present state they are a waste of electricity and spectrum
and you can tell them I said so.

The best thing they've got going for them is Early Edition, so I do have *some* use for the station.

I liked it when the "i" channel, when it was called PAX TV showed reruns of "Scarecrow & Mrs. King", "Bonanza", and aired "Supermarket Sweet". But they removed them from the line up. The only old TV show they have now, as of the "i" TV network website,is "Bonanza", which is run very rarely. I don't know if they are really stil reruning the show or not. They might as well have removed that from the lineup. If "i" network doesn't boost it's ratings, the channel might be shut down.
