THE INSENSITIVE OAF THAT IS MICHAEL GRAHAM CRACKERS

C

Casablanca

Guest
In commenting on Diane Patrick's clinical depression this morning on 96.9 WTKK - FM Michael Graham Crackers said, " Yeah, Mrs. Patrick when I look up at the State House and see your husband there I get depressed too." What a ^$%&^&*# Jerk.

Hope this Redneck oaf whose low ratings are a blip on the ratings charts finds is sorry A** out on the street by this summer.

No wonder they kicked him out of his last job.

And this guy dares to call himself a Christian. He sounds more like the Anti-Christ. Not a ounce of Christ's love in this jerk.

Anticipating a future post, I turned this Cracker on at the beginning of his show to monitor what he would say about Diane Patrick in light of my earlier post. Crackers did not disappoint me.

On a more positive note, Todd Feinburg was far more sensitive to the Patricks and took the time to state that he would not criticize either the Governor or his wife on her illness. At least that is a step in the right direction.

I could see Howie or his listeners maybe saying something similar (so don't be surprised should that happen)...and yes, jot this down, on this
12th day of March 2007, which is also the 26th anniversary of my first radio show, Casablanca
actually said something complimentary about a WRKO host . Amazing but true!

Yes Feinberg had a caller who said we should indeed hope that Mrs. Patrick can recover from
the depression, etc. and the caller wondered why Deval didn't just go about this quietly (i.e.,
not announce that she was suffering from depression and he was scaling back his schedule, etc.).
Todd replied that had he not come out with the info he would have been accused of trying to
suppress the info--and yes some may think that all this is political, to try and win him sympathy
and take the heat off him, etc. But regardless we do wish the best of health for Mrs. Patrick,
Mrs. Romney (multiple sclerosis) etc.

We may disagree with certain political figures but hopefully we're not insensitive toward their
personal lives in this way. That being said...today's Howie show will surely not avoid this
topic..hoo boy

(from another thread, by me: "but if he does say it I'm sure Howie will make a crack about Lt Gov Murray's weight...")

Howie was pretty sensitive in his opening segment...though as I predicted he did comment on
Lt Gov Murray's weight ("the Pillsbury Dough Boy"). Knew it :)

So, in other words, you listened all day to a station you loathe just for the opportunity to hear so-called mean things about the Governor's wife?

Take a cue from the Governor: the first step is to admit you have a problem.

Here I was so sure that Casablanca or Valv would be complaining today that Kerry and Mama T were hypocrites for writing a book about threats to the environment while owning three huge houses, SUVs, opposing Cape Wind, etc. I'm shocked to find this thread instead! ::)

Casablanca and Valv really need to come up with a new schtick because the "bash the conservative host" schtick has grown boring, predictable and pathetic.

If you can read - or have someone read this to you - you would have read that I did not "bash" all the local talk host. In fact, I praised Todd Feinburg's restraint and compassion. Later in the day, I heard the same degree of restraint and compassion from Jay Severin. I am pleased that at least two conservative talkers proved me wrong. They can do that any day.

As to Michael Graham....read the new post on him. Guess his handlers must think him "crackers" as well.

Not only that, it is a certain that had he just scaled back his duties without explanation, he would have been lambasted as trying to take it easy and skirting his job.

As much as it is essentially useless, and you will never get a straight answer, I applaud the Governor for agreeing to go on 96.9 FM for the weekly appearance. I wonder if he will keep that up? Or make an appearance at the UMass Lowell Chancellor announcement?

Did you get this worked up--or at ALL--with Chris Rock calling the President a 'retard,' or people in the media mentioning that it was 'too bad' that the bomb blast didn't kill Cheney?

Thought so.

Enjoy living in a state that the other 49 laugh at.

As to whomever made the "retard" remark, please note that truth is an absolute defense to libel.... ;)

Which is I guess why Deville can do nothing about the laughing stock he has become. Everything negative I've heard about him is the truth that libel cannot trump. What a bunch of fools in Messachusetts: Deville and those who voted for him. How's 'hope' and 'compassion' doing down there in Messachusetts? And you're the biggest buffoon for thinking he's such a swell guy because you saw him in a grocery store. Typical bleeding Lib.

Just curious, how small a "blip" are his ratings? Lower than Feinberg? Depetro? Barnicle? You mentioned them, so we assume you've seen them. Please, share the wealth!

Bad number.

48 works.

Don't forget California which makes The Commonwealth of Massachusetts look downright normal(ish).

But, then, California has more big cities and more radio expounding more of a variety of point of views some of which are downright hilarious and others are simply imponderable.

its too soon to talk about Graham's ratings - he is new in the 10-noon time slot. But he didn't make much impact in afternoons or eves, so don't expect too much.

Graham crackers are good to line a pie shell but not much else. They also crumble easily just like this guy's career. ;)

Once again, what is "didn't make much of an impact?" Anyone have any numbers? I've noticed this alot, particularly in posts about talk hosts at WRKO, WTKK, etc. Lots of criticism and speculation regarding their ratings, but nobody ever seems to have the numbers.

Depetro was a good example. When people were debating his lesbian comments, I thought from posts on this board that the guy must be really popular. Then a newspaper reported his ratings and they were terrible.

So what's the story, Casablanca? Are the people you hate, like Severin, Carr, Graham, etc. actually successful or not? When you post these comments about their ratings, do you have any facts, or is it all based on the diary you keep at home?

Does anybody know?

thank you.. I love living here... I love the fact that Massachusetts is different from the rest of the country. And if I lived anywhere else, it'd likely be the Bay Area... I've been there 4 or 5 times and, as the airline commercial said, there's a lot of "cultchah" there... same here. Plenty more to do in Boston than Manchester...

keeping it on the radio tip, isn't Bernie Ward from there? I liked his short-lived show on WRKO some years back.
