THE IRISH HIT PARADE!

I enjoy listening to the Irish Hit Parade on WROL in Boston on Saturdays when I get a chance. For more than 4 decades, this show has entertained and informed the Irish(and non-Irish) with the best in the best of Ireland's music. I highly recommend it.

The Irish Hit Parade is a Boston institution. I often listen to it up here in Maine.

Another broadcasting institution in Mass. is the polka music played on Sundays on WARE in Ware. AFAIK they're still doing it (I'll check); it goes back many, many years.

Update: Polka music is still heard every Sunday morning from 9 to 10 on WARE, followed by the Polish Variety Show from 10 to 1.

WARE is locally owned and, IMHO, one of the best small-city radio stations anywhere, featuring a good bit of local talent. It has largely an oldies format and a very loyal following extending all the way to Hartford to just west of Worcester, including all of greater Springfield.
