THE IRONY OF VOICETRACKING

Is it me but in Providence radio do you find the better the person is live the more obvious it is when he or she is voicetracked? But when it comes to those who are basically chit chat background noise type djs there's little difference between live and voicetracked?

That would be because the more seasoned professionals are in time slots where they can put their talents to use. They interract with other cast members or even if they fly solo they have more than just ability and know how to react spontaneously. Having these people voicetrack is like hiring a trained chef to work at a burger joint where every burger tastes the same regardless of who slapped it on the grille. Outside of morning drive radio is being surrendered to those who don't have the ability to do much more than tell the audience Britney Spears went postal again and pimp station events.
