'The Jeffersons' on WMCN

I was channel surfing yesterday and caught 'The Jeffersons' on WMCN. The PQ was poor but watchable. I looked closely at WMCN's schedule. I knew they added 'Cold Case Files' maybe half a year ago or more, and saw that as non-infomercial entertainment programming.

However, 'The Jeffersons', 'All in the Family' (also seen on Antenna TV), 'Til' Death' and 'America's Funniest Home Videos' are also part of the channel's lineup at various times.

The channel also runs Bounce TV on subchannel, but it's been almost 10 years I suppose since WMCN was WWAC that they had entertainment programming on the channel's primary schedule.

When the channel was WWAC, it ran 'Roseanne' and a few other shows. I don't remember but I think it was slightly more than present, but then they ditched all entertainment programming altogether, now only recently it is returning. WTVE which also mostly informercial has 'Frasier' and 'Inside Edition'.

I wonder if the limited entertainment programming is there, so that people don't block out the channels if the EPG supports that like Tivo.

It's been awhile, but I have to check the schedule for WRNN (the former WTZA) in upstate New York. Like WTVE, they are an infomercial warehouse that carries a daily show hosted by Richard French; they also carry "Inside Edition" as well as "Cheers" reruns, and I think they recently added "Cold Case Files" as well...
