The Jon Curley Show....with Someone Else

Curley was AWOL again last night. How can you expect to develop an audience when you're gone 3 out of 5 nights a week?

Yes, I know about his city councilship (which, I believe he should resign from if he's on the air, especially if he runs for re-election) and his auction business, but c'mon!

Say what you want about Frank Shiers, but he was consistently THERE, 5 nights a week!

Same can be said for Kirby Wilbur at KVI.

I agree, but my point is about starting a new show with a new host after a few years with an established one. It takes a minimum of 6 weeks for listeners to register that a change has been made and that they will stay listening. Right now, it's a crap shoot as to who is going to show up on KIRO from 7 to 10 pm. Why not bring in the janitor?

Monday, 3/21/11 - Mike West in for JC

Tuesday, 3/22/11 - The Best of Jon Curley (of which one hour was re-played twice)

Wednesday, 3/23/11 - ????

Where did you get the idea that last night's (3/22) show was a "best of" -- just because he discussed Chris Brown having anger issues? True -- that seems like it could be a repeat but it was about yesterday morning's GMA appearance. Likewise, Nancy Grace getting into an argument is nothing new but the one last night regarding radiation from Japan WAS new.

I listened for a little over an hour and everything I heard was current.

I'll admit that I'm not the biggest John Curley fan but he's miles more listenable than Frank Shiers. And if John being out from time to time means more Mike West, then all the better.
