WFXR-DT in Roanoke. WGHP-DT in High Point (though they have an excuse; the FAA would not approve their new tower until about two months ago and therefore will not be at full power til it's finished this Fall).

WCAX-DT, WPTZ-DT, WVNY-DT, WFFF-DT and WETK-DT in Burlington (VT) and Plattsburg (NY) are not on yet due to the headaches of getting their DTV's installed on Mt Mansfield.

WNDS-DT Derry, NH is running at low power.

WLWC-DT New Bedford, MA is not on as of yet (but will be very soon) (due to a late issued construction permit).

WEDH-DT Hartford, CT, is trying for 45 (and 9 in New London/Norwich). WFSB/Meredith has filed objections to the move.

WTXF-DT and WHYY-DT, Philadelphia.

WJJA in Racine, WI has shown a blank screen with the text “WJJA is experiencing technical difficulties” over the past 3 or 4 days…

The analog signal or the digital one, or both? And if you're watching it on cable, is the transmitter off the air?

The reason why I mentioned cable is that, before the stations were fibered in, Time Warner of Tampa Bay (now Bright House), would use some sort of "Technical Difficulties" placeholder when a station leaves the air -- not only prematurely, but whenever they are scheduled to leave the air at a normal time.

Cable. Don't know.

It might've been from the cable company- I'm not sure. I wouldn't be surprised if the station can't afford to upgrade and will just be going away.
______________

Also include to this WSBE-DT Providence, RI and WPXQ-DT Block Island/Providence, RI.

Is it the same timeline for commerical and non-commerical stations?

WSBE is running at it's licesned power and is even licensed now.
So WSBE-DT was omitted from the list.

WPXQ however, is a good addition.

PLEASE NOTE--ONLY THE BIG FOUR IN THE TOP 100 NEED TO BE FULL POWER

Most of the stations I've seen listed here are NOT required to be at full power until this time next year. ONLY the ABC, CBS, NBC, and FOX stations in the top 100 markets are required to be at full power.

And I even saw WTXF-DT listed in one post, even though it is on a licensed facility.

The message your seeing is coming from Time Warner. Their analog signal has been MIA for over a week now... Not sure if it has anything to do w/the digital deadline, tho I dont believe they ever built digitial facilities, even tho they had a CP for one on ch. 48

All the station shows is Shop At Home, infomercials, Pay-For-Pray, and minimal E/I content. I have no idea why it even exists. It's even more useless than the "i" channel... If it never comes back (which is highly likely since I doubt it has any money for new equipment) I won't be too unhappy...
______________

Mabbe WJJA-49 will be sold, then someone can buy it and operate it like the old WVTV-18 back in the 70s.

Maybe... It's been doing nothing of note for years and years. Would be nice to see it used for something that people might.. y'know.. watch. The especaly stupid thing is that whille they show Shop At Home, we also get Shop At Home on channel 95 for some reason so it's on two channels at once.
______________

WEDH-DT has filed to move from channel 32 to channel 45.

WEDN-DT in Norwich has filed to move from channel 45 to channel 32.

My guess is Meredith's objection is to that latter move. (WFSB's assignment is 33)

I note yet another application has been filed that would have WEDN move to channel 9 instead of 32.

================================================================

Going up a few levels...

The title of the thread suggests that any Top 100 market Big 4 affiliate that isn't running at full DTV power as of the 1st is in violation of FCC regulations.

It's my understanding that that's not strictly true -- that the consequences of not being at full power are that your station will only be protected from interference within its actual coverage area with its lower power. That the FCC will stop "reserving" coverage in the zone between where you reach with your actual signal, and where you would reach with a theoretical full-power signal.

(in which case the deadline serves as a valuable tool for firming up allocations, but for stations in places where nobody is likely to infringe on desirable coverage area it really isn't that big of a deal.)
