Arbitron has changed nothing methodologically in the last 90 days that would change anything.

According to R&R looks as KLOL easily beats all Univision stations. David Eduardo what happened to your prediction of KLOL death at the expense of your Univision stations? Doesn't look like your predictions held any water.

The real truth is that KLOL has to be sold or in a trust before the privatization takes place.

Now now David what does that have to do with the current beating you are taking from a bunch of gringos at CC? Admit it you were asleep at the wheel and they beat you.

I wouldn't say beating. Many things have to be taken into effect. The major difference in signals is one of them. You can do much better when you are located at almost 2000 ft and 100 KW compared to just less than 1000 ft and 2.7 KW. Huge difference. Kinda like the old KQQK (106.5) and KLTN (93.3) days. Once KLTN moved to 102.9, it all went downhill for KQQK (Well, it was all downhill already, but this sealed the deal)

Now, I'll give credit where it is due, A big applause to the CC folks for selling airtime over the Hispanic Giant Univision. But it would be a big difference if the signals were at equal quality.

I am only reponding to David Edaurdo claims back in February "KLOL's short-lived success is over".

Eduardo you seem to be bright and well studied, but seriously lack objectivity. We should all beware when someone starts quoting 12+ and 18-34 numbers, it's reaching for straws.

Almost every Hispanic buy has an "18-" in the first digits of the demo. The core Hispanic demo is 18-34 or 18-49, while general market tends to be 25-54 as a broad demo.

The fact is for P25-54 KLOL has 4.6 shares versus KLTN's 4.3

In week 4 of January, KLTN beat KLOL in 25-54.... with KLOL declining since the first week of Holiday.

Why do you refuse to admit that?

Because the trending indicates that KLOL's short-lived success is over.

KLOL has done a lot better with PPM than the diary system. Hurban has been written off as a dead format. But now that we have seen how good KLOL has done with PPM does this mean the format has a future once again? Should the format re-appear in the markets that have dropped it?

KLOL is not Hurban, and has not been for 18 months. It is Hot AC, with its biggest demo being 35-44.

The KLOL audience composition has 35-44 as the strongest cell, followed by 25-34, and that is not Hurban. There is essentially no reggaetón and no English hip hop in the format, and it is not as soft as a WAMR, WPAT or KLVE. So, by default, it is Hot AC or "pop" (which is an ugly term that suggests lots of Mendudo and OV7 and Timbiriche).
