The KDKB playlist

I don't know why I've noticed this lately. Either there's something to it, or I just never bothered switching to KDKB when other stations are in commercial break.

Has KDKB's playlist changed significantly? Has "Everything That Rocks" recently included a ton of classic rock stuff?

Now tuning ever-so-often out of curiosity, I've found myself spending time on 93.3.

Thanks pattiwacki (or wackipatti, according to the Good Doc).

Last week, I heard The Cars followed by Billy Idol "Eyes Without a Face". Also surprised to hear Jimi Hendrix and Phil Collins.

Two thumbs up!

I have a theory on this "Sandusky Phoenix Movement," as I call it.

A bit curious as to why people are surprised by all the classic rock on KDKB, as that's been their thing since I moved here in the early 1990s. They're more 70s-80s oriented than their 60s-70s sister station, true, and they've started playing a little early grunge since the relaunch a couple years back (guess that makes them 70s-80s-early-90s), but bluesy mid-period classic rock is where they've made whatever money they've made.

You may both call me what you like, my esteemed colleague, as long as you don't call me late for coffee break in the faculty lounge-can't wait to hear you expound on your theory!
