The Kimmer

while station flipping on Wednesday to try and get some weather reports, I landed on WGST around 4:40 and was surprised to hear none other than The Kimmer still barking out his right-wing zealot spew.

Why in the world is this guy still on the air? I mean, he has long since lost the best parts of his show (Newsmaker line, Wayne, Pete Davis sports).

Poor Kimmer. He just keep barking out the Republican line and thinks people still buy it.

What a waste of four hours of programming each day.

Give me a break.

Most people scanning the air waves simply push the seek button if they hear something they don't like . . .

Clearly, you missed the results of the recent election in the State of Georgia. Not to worry, with all the changes at CC recently, you may get your wish . . .

Re: The Kimmer

Yes, I do believe that all the left wing democrats will have thier wish, we will get talk radio on 640 that is aimed at those, and We will withdraw from iraq, THEN when we get attacked again, The Dems, will run and try to talk to the idol worshiping morons who did the first attack. But WGST I do believe will go to Dem talk before next year is out.. THANK GOD FOR SEAN, RUSH, NEAL, MICHEAL, and all the Republican talk show hosts.. Our nation does REALLY have a chance. After two years pass anyway.. ;D

Re: The Kimmer

The right-wing talk show hosts wouldn't know the truth if it fell on them. Why anyone would blindly follow them is beyond me. Use your brain for crying out loud. Damn, Georgia has some ignorant knuckle draggers.

There you have it, folks. The perfect example of left-wing tolerance. Or a tryout for Air America. :D

I do hope that your not refering to me as a Ignorant Knuckle Dragger ?
200 K per year and Im a Knuckle Dragger? Incredible, so I guess any ole IGNORANT Fool can do this? Wow! Lemme Guess, your idea of good talk radio is listening to the moron of the airwaves Good ole whats his name Al Franken? Or Randi (Communist)Rhodes?
Or Jerry (I will do anything for attention)Springer? Well all I can say is have fun, in two years we will have another Republican President. I will concede that Bush has made a fool of himself without a doubt.. I also agree that we need to get the hell out of iraq, but not a total quick withdrawal.. So how about that, a Republican who says bush needs to be relieved of his duties.. Oh well. Have fun freebird, Two years and we will see!

I still do work in the biz, and other things as well. Delta is ready, and I will pay for a ticket, IF that's what Knuckle Draggers do!

Re: The Kimmer

So, a corrupt, do-nothing, rubber-stamp Congress is preferable to a Democratic-led Congress? Well, you'd better get used to it...with new governorships the gerrymandering is about to go the other way and the outcome of '08 will depend on who spins the gridlock better. Bush will remain unpopular and his legacy will probably help guide a Democrat into the White House; no matter how many right-wing gabbers pollute the airwaves.

Nationally, I think this past election showed the dissatisfaction with a liberal Republican President and a Republican congress that has done nothing to take advantage of their leadership dominance. I do not think it was a Democratic win, but a Republican forfeit due to non-performance. Nationally, many of the Democrats that were elected are much more conservative than liberal. It will be an interesting time observing the Republicans and to see if they have learned their lesson.

All of this is going to make for some compelling talk radio for the next two years regardless of the political views of the host. Smart radio stations should consider some local time for interesting, even divergent political views. Personally, I would like to see Mike Malloy have an hour or two on a local Atlanta station. It would be interesting hearing his extreme views during this time of Democratic Party glory; however, personally I could never become a full time Malloy listener.

Is Mike on the air somewhere since the demise of Air America in Atlanta?

Re: The Kimmer

Mike is part of a new network(sorry....I can't recall the name.)He is back on the air in a few markets but not in Atlanta.
Too bad WRFG couldn't run the show!

Re: The Kimmer

TE:

Thanks for the Mike Malloy update. If you recall his new voice outlet, please share. Occasionally I like to tune him in to hear his interpretation of what is going on in this country.

Re: The Kimmer

Thank Gawd for search engines! I Googled "new liberal radio network" and got the info!!
The network is called Nova M and is funded by the Drobny fortune. This couple had thier fingers in the now defunct "Air America."
Go to www.novamradio.com to listen to Mike Malloy in the evenings.

Re: The Kimmer

Hasn't been a good politically based talk show host on in Atlanta since the Mike Malloy Days at WSB.

Looks like The Kimmer and Denny are also out!

Breaking news as we speak...

I'm sure more developments are on the way.

Bye bye, Kimmer

that it still has Wayne's picture on it as if he were still part of the show.

Of course, even the Kimmer is no longer part of the Kimmer show! Farewell you knuckle dragging, tobacco spitting, redneck! Stick that in your Semper Fi and smoke it!

Re: Looks like The Kimmer and Denny are also out!

This is a foretaste of what the former Clear Channel will be like in the days, months, and years ahead. History will show that these investment firms will be many times worse for radio that the Mays Mafia. Oof Madonn'!

Freebird:

That is Kimmer's personal site and I believe it was updated less frequently after Wayne left. Management requested that he abandon it in favor of a CC managed site.
