So since KZLA died in LA which is an even more suburban market than NYC does this mean that the country horde will finally concede that there is not a desperate cry for country to return to NYC?.
Why do you hate country so much..anyone with any love of music and radio who would so discount a format so much is as ignorant as can be.I grew up on classic rock and love q104.3 but how many times can you hear the same 40 songs over and over, and deal with 60 yr old rock stars still touring thinking they can sing.Apparently the whole industry is agast at KZLA flipping...including the owners who approved it.I saw on the internet some 1 million emails were sent about the switch. And funny, next year they will be bragging about a 2 share and say how successful it is.Not to bore you but as a country fan there is nothing like the passion os the fans and the feel good attitude that plays with listening and attending concerts. That does not exist at any rock show.I must go now time to powerwash the mobile home.
I dont hate country its not my favorite but I dont think it is the instant success that people who love it think it would be in the most urban market on earth.
I also don't hate country...it's not my cup of tea, but neither is a lot of what else is on the radio either and I'm not advocating for those formats to go away either. I don't think the KZLA "ripple" will have any effect on the advocates of the country genre returning to NYC, in fact, so far it seems to have brought the issue back to the forefront with many threads on this board and the Dentist's board rehashing the same arguments on both sides.
