The Last Daytimer

...is it KAZG 14~forty, Lumberyard radio? Nurse Jeff and I were scratchin' our fezes trying to come up with any other Valley station that pulls the plug at local sunset. And speaking of pulling the plug, their signoffs at 5:15pm this month are just that - cut the carrier in the middle of whatever is running. YIKES! And does anyone ever recall hearing them using their blazing 52 watt night time authorization? This Gumpdusky station is like the last Gremlin sold at Mecham AMC in Glendale - a rare oddity

The Nurse and I've DXed KASA at night in Litchfield Park. 19 watts aint much, but run 'em through three towers and they've got a little kick! Just don't ask us what we were doing in a cotton field late one night listening to 15~forty!

Unless you live between 15th and 35th Aves and Dobbins and Southern, you'd swear 1540 signed off, too.

Same goes for KFNN 1510 unless you live in far-north Phoenix, Glendale, or north Scottsdale. Aren't they supposed to cover their city of license (Mesa, in this case) at all times?
