The "Last Man Standing" Thread

Yup. I like Allen. "Home Improvement" came along when my family (me, wifey and three boys) were about the same ages as those in the program and we could watch that show and relate quite well to their antics.

I am not expecting the same quality out of the new show but would be pleasantly surprised if they came close. Based upon what else is out there this season we could use a home run.
 
I will watch also and check it out. He is due a comeback. Sometimes these guys fade and then
BAM they're back again. Same can be said of Roseanne. She's out now but don't be shocked
if BAM she makes a comback in 2012.
 
I plan on watching. I am a fan of Tim Allen and Home Improvement. I hope Last Man Standing will be a big hit.
 
Will be watching it but not tonight, set the DVR to record the pilot episode. Glad to see Tim back on TV as he was great on Home Improvement.
 
Thanks to time shifting, I could watch what I've missed ( I was watching NCIS at 8 ) but instead (because I'd rather watch News) I've chosen to record the show and watch it later.
 
I was a bit underwhelmed as well. Couple of cute parts but no knee slappers.

I think the expectations will do this show in. Most people will be expecting a repeat of Home Improvement and this didn't come close on the first two tries.
 
I kept thinking "8 Simple Rules" Part II but I don't watch that show. The first half hour
wasn't too hot, but the second one was better. The jokes seemed a bit predictable
like "Hot In Cleveland" and we all know Cleveland succeeded with that formula.

I predict ABC will give it a full season and then decided what to do with it next Spring. It got a
decent opening rating, but many folks were probably just checking it out.
 
I thought the show was entertaining enough to at least check it out again next week. I didn't love it or hate it this week.
 
i was not over impressed with last man standing .however after seeing happy endings last man standing seemed a lot better.

happy endings needed piped in laughter so i would know what the makers of the show meant to be funny.i feel the same way about modern family.
 
Yes the laugh track on Man Standing was a bit annoying, a bit like.....
I'm gonna open the fridge......LAUGH
Who ate my yogurt........LAUGH
Now I'll have to eat a piece of 5 day old cake instead......LAUGH
