The latest big name out the door at Cumulus

Doesn't take much to figure out who the offending one is - the same employer that trashes all his ex-employees on this board.

Not only should it not be allowed - he should be ashamed and embarrassed he has to stoop to such levels to make himself feel better and blame all his ex employees for his OWN FAILURES!

But of course the Ho is the one that gets called out for calling it what it is.

If I understand you correctly, you are saying that the person posting the disputed info about Mr. Roddy actually KNOWS it to be untrue? And I was disappointed before... that would be truly libelous and basically disgusting. I am taking my naive self to bed to reflect on how quickly my enjoyment of these boards has turned sour.

He'll be doing the same thing to Pidge in a few weeks when he's released.

Well, regardless of who is responsible for the Roddy bashing, I can only base my opinion of him on his work on-air. While it's not my cup of tea, one thing is clear - he enjoys radio and has a passion for the product and that isn't something that can be said of everyone in the market.

It's a tough time in the ol' radio business but it isn't the first and it won't be the last. Warm up your typin' fingers because the list of exiting air talent and programming people is only gonna grow.

Like the music business, radio has taken too long to see the writing on the wall and the time is coming when everyone will have to join us in the 21st century. Local radio won't go away, but it will have to fundamentally shift the way they do business in order to survive. It sucks that the powers-that-be couldn't get together and get ahead of the curve, but they didn't and now all they can do is put their nose to the grindstone and get to work. Well, at least that's how I see it!
