The latest Mark Madden controversy-

Martyr or not this dude should have been shown the door. I don'k know what he has done before, I have never so much as even heard of him before this story broke, but being fired is almost too good for him. Maybe Disney/ESPN should have employed a firing squad in this case? Of course I say that jokingly, but really folks, the seat behind a microphone is a sacred place. If boradcast professionals don't start treating it like such, more fireings will and should come. I mean are you kidding me? Suggesting that you had hoped that an aging icon of American Political life would live long enough for an assasin's bullet to find him, is that really cool in any way? I was never a fan of Ron Reagan, and I think Governor George Bush is a total idiot! (I like George Carlin call him Goveror because that's the last election he ever won) But I would never say such a thing about either of these men on the air!!! The big companies that own these stations are not playing arround with their revenue and if you think you can say whatever comes to the dome over thier airwaves and be safe because a few mind nummed fans think you're funny, you've got a nother thing comming...an unemployment check.
