The lights are out at the "Power" house!!

So far I like it.
White Stripes 7 nation army into Foo Fighters this is a call into Bob Marley Get up Stand Up into Beck where it's at.
I don't love the station voice but, perhaps that will change in time

Wow.....can I put 104.1 back on my presets again?
I was wondering if this might happen given the resurgence of alternaitve in NY (K-Rock) and PHhilly (Radio 104-5).

Can't wait to check it out.

I got three letters for ya:

P. P. M.

Now that radio104 is back will clear channel keep radio104.com alive as well? ...anyone realize that it has been there since the crap began on the air 4 years ago?

I'm not excited. Why the hell did they change it in the first place? Clear Channel ruined the first Radio 104, then they put crap music on that nobody listened to as Power, and now they're coming back? Kiss my feet and beg me to listen.

I turned on 104.1 on the way back from work to listen to Wendy Williams advice hour (the only thing I'd listen to on Power...the music sucked). Much to my surprise I head Nirvana followed by Everlast, Beck, and the Smashing Pumpkins. I heard a liner saying "FM 104.1, different is good." It seems like this is going to be the kind of music that used to get played on Radio 104. Hopefully they don't screw it up this time! I'm thrilled!

Who takes the biggest hit? PLR....the River...CCC....
I think PLR is gonna feel it the most. How many more times can you listen to bad to the bone or smell that smell....
THIS is my "classic rock station" from now on.
FM-104-1!

I wanna go Home I wanna Go I wanna go home :'( :'( :'(
the competition's is on!!!!
I could not go home for 4 days just so I do my part time with the trading post on WIKE 1490 in derby VT for 2 hours. it cost me more on gas to even get there
I love WCCC and they needeed the competition back!!!!!
ohhh boy this is going to be a good couple of months

Thats good news,I hope 93.7 is next.

I don't think there will be that much competition to WCCC though. From what I've heard, they're playing more classic alternative, not active rock like WCCC. Then again, I'd hardly call WCCC active. How much Motley Crue can you play per hour?

sounds like k-rock in NYC. I am sure it will do some damage, I do however think it sounds more chick rock. This means that the ratings will tapped off from other stations in the market. WCCC won't be effected as much. however, I will love to see how 104.1 does in the Bridgeport book against k-rock in NYC

104.1 barely comes in around Bridgeport because of signals from 104.3 and 103.9...most of the Hartford FMs are weak in Bpt....if you're in Trumbull or areas north it might come in but I don't see it making any difference.

Bob Marley? There's so much better reggae out there than Bob Marley. I love how these so called progressive rock stations are stuck limiting their reggae to a dinosaur. Come on guys, get with the times.

The imaging person at WCCC must be creaming his/her shorts by now.... "Ooo!!! How many times can we mention 'Corporate 104' in our promos?!?!"

Yeah, because we're so much better!!!

Im surprised it took Clear Channel this long to see another Urban station didn't work. Power never came close to Hot. Sure they took some numbers away but never tied or beat them. Now all Hot 93.7 competes with is Kiss 95.7. As for the new station at 104.1 it looks just like the same thing Clear Channel has done in Philly with Radio 104.5.

And, as I have contended on the Atlanta board, it's likely also the reason for the new but much-maligned "Project 9-6-1".
