the Link

noticed this on All Access. interesting they are looking for a HOT AC PD, wonder if they are moving more in a music direction?

WLNK 107.9 The Link in Charlotte, North Carolina is looking for our next Program Director. You must be experienced in coaching top talent and incorporate the best practices of PPM and digital media in a HOT AC format

Didn't some of us think this was coming when former VP/GM Rick Jackson left the company after several years and moved to San Diego? Even his daughter hinted that there was some dissatisfaction on Rick's part with the Greater Media's plans for the Charlotte properties.

As I said in the past, the new boys probably would like to see better ratings on the Link than what the syndicated shows are generating presently. Certainly, they could still provide the syndicated fare to other markets without actually running them locally if those shows are an important revenue stream for the company.

With syndication of the shows and the Link with better ratings Greater Media is presented with the opportunity to maximize their revenue and provide a greater return on their investment.

By the way, what's happened with long-time link PD, Neil Sharpe?
