The Link's 80's Show

I read in another thread about K104.7's "Friday Night 80's" show and was inspired to start this thread.

I remember a few years ago when 107.9 The Link ran a show called "Friday Night 80's" with Anthony Michaels. Eventually, they moved it to Saturdays and changed the name to "80's Saturday Night" (I think it was around the time they brought in Cooper Lawrence.)

When did K104.7 start their Friday night 80's show? I wonder if that was part of the reason for the odd name change when the Link moved the show to Saturdays.

Incidentally, I read that as of tonight, they will be airing a syndicated show hosted by some cat named Tom Kent, so I guess this means the Link will no longer be doing an 80's show, at least a local one.

K104.7 has been doing their 80's show for about 2 months now. Each week we add more songs. I am not sure if there was an intentional timing thing going on with the Link or not. I do know that we are getting very good feedback for the Friday Night 80s thus far.
