We welcome yet another pirate that flooded Newark last night, this time a polish rap station on 107.1 coming from The Oranges. So, lets do the roll call shall we?

87.9 - Caribbean
95.1 - Caribbean
96.5 - Hip Hop
97.5 - Caribbean
99.3 - Caribbean
100.7 - Caribbean
102.1 - Caribbean
102.3 - Caribbean
102.5 - Spanish
103.9 - Caribbean
104.1 - Caribbean/Hip Hop
104.7 - Caribbean
106.3 - Caribbean
107.1 - Caribbean
107.9 - Caribbean

Seems there's twice as many cribbean formats as there to CHR's at this point.
 
You missed a lot of pirate stations

87.7, 90.1, 90.3, 93.5, 94.3, 95.9, 96.1, 96.7, 99.9, 103.1, 105.7
And that's just Newark. There are multiple pirates on every second adjacent frequency in this region.

87.9 is not Caribbean, it is a guy yelling in French all the time.

The pirate problem is so bad that most people can't remember all the frequencies that have pirate stations on them
 
Sorry, couldn't fit them all on a limited time. But some of them come and go, and the rest stay on for years. 87.9 plays caribbean music during the day, and yea, I just wanna pull my radio out of my car when I hear that damn guy yelling constantly on the air.
 
I think there are 2 87.9's. The 87.9 in Brooklyn plays Caribbean music all the time. The 87.9 in Newark has the screaming idiot every night.
 
I find it funny that the FCC has all the time in the world to bust the stones of the "legal" broadcaster, but can't do anything about these... I wonder if I put on a 100kw pirate if that would get some attn...??? I'd put it on 100.3 in Newark, do CHR and call it Z-100... hmmm... maybe I already did it and you just don't know....
