The Vaudeville Years 1890-1900
The Ten Year Period 1900-1910
World War 1 Period 1910-1920
The Roaring 20's 1920-1929
The Swing Era 1930-1950
There seems to be very few stations anymore that still play big bands or music from the early 20th century.
KORK AM 920 was the last station that did so.
KJUL does a fairly decent job but they've abandoned 60's standards for newly recorded standards featuring Diana Krall & Jim Brickman.
It's very unlikely that you will an Artie Shaw or Bing Crosby record on radio or music from the 1890's, 1900's 1910's, 1920's, 1930's 1940's.
The stations playing this music would have to appeal to 85+ plus listener or even 92+ plus listener.
Edited by billboardmister on 06/26/05 04:21 AM.
