NO ITS THE GLEN BECK SHOW..... funny AGM has hired and fired nearly every local that was a sucker to work there are you next?
maybe someone will wake up at corporate and learn that sometimes family just can do it.

"We've seen the floor and we go up from here," says Lee Logan, whose long radio resume includes considerable years as a country music station programmer.

Scott Hutton, the Albuquerque manager for Bakersfield, Calif.-based American General Media, which owns the local station and others in both the Duke City and Santa Fe, says that doesn't mean the station is poised to dump its format and return to music. But, he adds, "Lee is somebody who specializes in turning around radio stations and that's why we brought him here."

"The biggest thing we've been lacking is a coach of the talent," he says, a task with which Logan has been charged.

The coming changes won't involve the people now on the air at the station, Hutton and Logan say.

"We want to maximize the opportunities with the personalities we have in the house," Logan says.

"Things evolve," he adds. "Over the next two weeks, hopefully by the first of March or so, you'll notice some positive evolution."

I don't think that anyone places the blame for that bottomfeeder of a station at the feet of Mistie.

And you need to get a thicker skin if the retards here make you go off like that.

I think the game of trying to figure out who is a mole for which company, here only to spread disinformation and play psych games with the competition, is half the fun of this board. Blank profiles rule.

Last point -- I took a look at the new KAGM lineup and have one question -- WHERE'S DIANNE?

A bit schizophrenic, no? I'd say it's time KABQ got Stephanie Miller for mornings and buried KAGM in the only remaining daypart it has to be beaten in.

Joey Reynolds? He was in like what, ten years ago? Name one affiliate with more than two watts other than WOR and WWKB. I'll wait.

Doug Stephan, king of the unrated market. How about John and Jeff overnights; skews younger to talk advantage of the FM position... they have a big following on 96.9 WTKK/Boston, which airs the likes of O'Reilly, Severin, Ingraham, and Hannity (for another week at least). Counterprogram against KKOB... Joey Reynolds' audience is over 90... he belongs on JOY.

I like Glenn Beck, but Dave Ramsey? What, are they trying to compete with KDAZ, KKIM, and KSVA for share... oh, wait... those stations don't have a measurable audience. Perhaps they should just be "lifestyle talk"; have Beck do his quasipolitical schtick, Ramsey and Cramer do money, Hendrie do his deal, and what not. But I bet they'll **ck it up with some huge imaging emphasis on news. Pick a direction for heavens sake.

How about firing the low-rated local personalities and running the thing out of a broom closet? You'd save Larry's salary (apparently double what KKOB used to pay him and well above their proposed raise) and the cost of his billboards, which, last time I was there, probably amounted to ten times that salary. So, with medical, dental, and 401(k), you're probably around $1,935,262. That's money well saved.

wow I checked out that link to mistie..oooooooh who talked her into doing voiceovers I didnt know traffic liners qualify for voice talent. time to go to the gm and ask for a show, do that for ten years and invest in some processing like the Eventide harmonizer. I think she has a good heart but is no way ready for the world of voiceovers ok back to the show a. g. m.

I think the new lineup looks good. It's called diversity. Ramsey was a wise choice. Despite the constant cracks about it being a "religious" program the show is cleared in nearly 300 markets...on mainstream talkers.

On her home page it says that Mistie has been in 'brodcasting' for over ten years and that she has no on going commitments to any 'advetiser'. That lack of attention to detail will be a red flag to any potential client.

The portfolio section of the site says 'Sponsors' and lists Advil, Alltel, Qwest, Zantrez 3, Del Taco, Castrol GTX, GM Onstar, Orkin, Napa AutoParts, Sonic, Tropicana Pure Preimium and Walmart.

Does that refer to the traffic and news liners that Mistie reads? Why bother to put that on the site? Who is going to give a crap about that? It can't imagine it is going to get her any gigs.

Rock on Mistie Miles, she is funny when she is on with Chris and the Bean and has been one of the few things that doesn't suck about KAGM. She certainly is a more pleasant traffic person to listen to than Helen Wheels on 770.

I'm not sticking up for my lady friend, I'm pointing out how it's easy to take a dump on someone and hide behind your anonymity. "Cowards, whiners...." was to get peoples attention so they would look to see who the heck would post such a statement(check profile). Too easy to prove my point, everyone's looking. I will point out that as a business owner why couldn't Mistie's link be on my site because she's done work for me and not because she's my wife like you questioned in your reply? Guess you know us, and I know who you are and another mole on this thread. You right, it's fun figuring out who's who. See you this weekend.
