He is retiring.
Hopefully it will get replaced by something else other than trash talk or courtroom shows.
I don't know where your source, if any. is but I hope so.
He has no source other than the voices in his head. Most of his posts are just gibberish

Its been reported that he's leaving TV.
I'd be one of the first to say goodbye and good riddance if he did, but where have you seen that? Can you post a source?

As the show wraps up its 30-year run, having launched in 1991, NBCUniversal is developing a new series featuring one of the show’s guest co-hosts that it plans to offer to stations. But stations also will be able to license the show’s repeats, just like they are doing now with Jerry Springer, which went out of production in 2018.
To me that isn't any better.

None of this should be surprising. This works for a segment of the audience. There’s enough interest to make the economics work.

Unfortunately, Montel retired I believe back in 2007 or 2008 due to his worsening health issues with MS.
He actually still does a show thats played on lifetime or we tv i forget which but about remodeling homes for veterans.
So i believe he could still do a show.
I wish he would. I liked his show.
Dont get why they thought wendy williams just gossiping the whole hour would be a good replacement for montel show that actually talked about hard issues and made a difference in peoples lives.
I think that when Montel retired they aired repeats of the show I know when it ended no one picked up the repeats of his show CW7 & MyNet TV didn't pick Motel Williams show repeats up. Montel was on WZZM for most of its run the first year was on WXMI Fox17 maybe the second year as well but not sure on that. I knew that The Maury Show will stay on the air even when Maury decided to finally retire since you are not the baby daddy which plays so well on daytime TV. I have never seen this special guest host on Maury I only see Maury whenever I have flipped to it.
Oh interesting I was not aware montel was on abc. Thought it was on mostly my tv and and cbs stations.
Montel was on the big 4 at least in midsize TV markets but that info is hard to find now since Motel Williams talk website shutdown years ago. Other than NYC, Chi, LA ETC.
