The Mayor and the Governor can't do anything...

To help the city of New Orleans since its gone last week. Now, according to the latest news, city mayor Charles Nagin is asking the rest of the city's population to get out TODAY, or there will be some action taken. Most of the remaining people who lives there refuses to leave. I saw a bum on CNN who refuses to get out of the water since it is now deplorable abd disgusting. He Says, "I'm gonna stay there as long as I die". you can't believe how awful the water is. On yesterday's Oprah, Oprah wore a surgical mask as she entered The Superdome. There is trash and debris inside. There were two holes gaping inside, as we see the light of day. Oprah was horrified. All of the survivors did NOT have any food to eat. Some of the people are found dead on the freeways. even MSY is starting to become a hellhole. Oprah went over to Houston, where the majority of the evacuees are now staying. If Oprah gave its lucky viewers in the studio audience a car last season, She could give everybody a brand-new home to stay until they ALL pick up the pieces Here in Houston. Now, Let's get back to what I am talking about: I believe it's time for the mayor to step down, as well as Governor Katherine Blanco. Mayor Nagin is NOT Rudolph Giuliani. When New York was under attack 4 years ago, do you know who was in charge in helping these people going through these emotional times-helped that city rebuild? It WAS Him.(Giuliani) Charles Nagin was NO big help for N.O. Nagin watches the city destroyed by a category 5 Hurricane, as it rips through the Big Easy, and the superdome was stocked with good food. The Victims could have enjoyed it, BUT it was for the people who watches football from the luxury seats. It is BOTH Nagin and Blanco's Fault for not sending Immediate help to these victims. They're the ones to blame. The survivors wanted food right now, and they also wanted money-right now. But, it could take forever to get these people helped-and these people are tired of playing games with three stooges. you can also blame GW Bush, too. The only people bush is helping are the Mega-Rich. Mr. President We need for you to come down here-and take a look. The state of Louisiiana needs your help! I don't have anything more to say... R.I.P. Bob "Gilligan" Denver (1935-2005), and William H. Rhennquist (1924-2005) Godspeed, little buddies!

What about the food for the general public that comes to see the Saints? Or were they saving that just for them, too?

It's pointless to save the food just for Saints spectators, as: (1) they can be easily replaced, and (2) it's now highly unlikely that the Saints will play in the Superdome ever again (they're talking about tearing it down).

the Mayor's first name isn't Charles it's Clarence.

> As we speak, The food Was Intended for the Fans who entered the dome, and watch the game. When the Evacuees entered there last week, the ONLY food they had were PB&J sandwiches. Many of whom were black, poor, and very starving. Many of whom slept on the floors. Most of these people wanted help-financially. They wanted who's ever is in charged to give them money-until the 1st of the month. Now, these people won't know WHEN they will get their money. Most of whom are frail, diabetic, and very old. > It's pointless to save the food just for Saints spectators,
> They can be easily replaced, I Don't think so. There's absolutely NO food here period. All of the stores in the Metropolitan N.O. area are shut dowm until further notice.

> Well. It looks like The Saints will be playing the first three games-On the Road.(against Carolina, NY Giants, & Minnesota). After that, looks like their first home game would against the Bucs in the Alamodome in SA. This will be their home for the time being until things over there in N.O. gets back to normal-In a few years from now. I Believe the Saints move will be permanent, They HAVE already Played its last home game at the Superdome.
>They are thinking about tearing it down. I believe you're right. The Superdome has shown its age. It is not as fine as it ever was. After playing host to numerous events, concerts, Final Four Basketball, and hosting 6 SUPER BOWLS The Louisiana Superdome has taken its toll. The last domed stadium that faced the wrecking ball was the KingDome in Seattle.(Now replaced by Qwest Field). I believe the old dome will be razed, and life DOES go on.. .

But at least Benson will get his wish for a new stadium....
