The Merger

In the meantime, while all of you are complaining, The stock of Sirius XM is at bargain basement prices. There is one penny stock expert that has a hold on Sirius XM stock. So all of you who are complaining need to load up on the stock and have a voice as a shareholder.

There is a reason why that stock is worthless, and buying a ton of it will only serve as a way to part your money from your possession garnering little in the way of having any "say" in the way Sirius ruins, I mean runs things.

The best way to have some say in the matter is for more people to dump that sinking ship that is Sirius and let them slide to the bottom quietly. They have made it apparent that they really don't care for their listeners or providing quality in any manner. Sure they offer more than your local market does, but listen to them for about two weeks straight on most channels and you'll hear the same repeated playlists recycled over and over again. The only difference is that it takes slightly longer than the locals with their 300 song playlists. Also, try to call their customer service with a problem. Ticket closing is the mantra in that little corner of heaven. No matter if you the customer are satisfied in the end, as long as you go away, everything is settled. And the cool part is, you get to pay for all that abuse.

I dumped Sirius about a year after the merger when they gutted XM and never looked back. Don't miss 'em either.

Excellent points. I think many of us are going that direction.

I was one of the first to subscribe with XM years ago. When I first subscribed the audio quality was superb, and the playlists, personalities and lack of commercials were unlike anything offered on terrestrial radio. After the merger it all fell apart. I held on for about 18 mos to give it a chance to improve thinking they could work out the bugs. But unfortunately it never regained what it once had to draw this music lover back. So sad for all of us. The shame of it all is Mel has what he has because of us "the customers". When you ignore your customers your business falls apart. Simple business 101 stuff, and Sirius failed!
