The midday robot on KNDD

I heard the robot mispronounce "Chris Cornell" the other day.

And this "connects better with the audience" than DJ No Name?

Maybe I'm Just Getting Old

So last night I said around and asked myself, is the PD at the end solely responsible for the stations constant decline or could it just be that the new music alt stations have available to them nowadays sucks? After listening to a song by Serj Tankian (which some I guess call music) and some horrendous song about handlebars (I think the band was called the Flowbee's or something, named I would assume after the do it yourself hair cutter), I finally had my answer. It's mainly the music, which frankly pales in comparison to the bands that helped shape alternative stations starting in the 80's, all through the 90's, and even into the 21st century.

Toss that in with a station that is dropping its jocks in place of automation and an afternoon show that is mediocre at best, and it all adds up as a recipe for disaster.

Or as the subject line suggests, maybe I'm just getting old and music from Serj and the Flowbee's will help bring the End back to their glory days.

Serj Tankian or whatever they are called are awful. The Flowbots (I think) song was awful the first 5 times I heard it, but now its growing on me.

I still maintain that most of the music on the End sound good, but there isn't enough of it, and way too much Lazlo.

I prefer the robot to Lazlo & Co. (strong distaste) or DJ No-name (not as bad, but too much about him). I don't want lots of filler crap talk.

Play good music that has already been accepted by station listeners over the years and sprinkle in a little good new stuff i haven't heard yet.
