With WIXE doing about $50,000 a month plus in revenue as a Union County local station, I don't think Charlotte offers an greener pastures. My guess is other than WBT and WRHI, WIXE may be one of the top billing AMs in the greater Charlotte area? Archie Morgan who owns WIXE is a big believer in transmitting power.fortmill said:Oh Lord, another right wing hate-talk wantobee for Charlotte....
So, w00t, did I say that? Otherwise, I wonder how you could make such a statement. The fact is, almost all conservative talkers make their points on the shoulders of some minority group or another, rather than on the basis of emphirical information. Actually, many conservative positions can be defended logically, but that apparently doesn't make for popular radio.w00t said:He thinks anyone who doesn't agree with him is full of hate.
Did anyone mention WBT or Limbaugh in this thread? I didn't think so. But the truth is, WBT is 100% conservative. And regarding Limbaugh, anyone who throws inflamatory rhetoric around like he does has to be considered pretty hateful. Maybe you've been listening too often.Jim said:Outside of Rush, WBT is not that right wing. I swear, liberal lefties love to throw around the "hate" word whenever Rush is involved. Anytime WBT is brought up, you love to drop the "hate" line. I listen often and don't hear any hate speech.

What a downer....fortmill said:Am I right to assume that Nome radio, both KICY and KNOM, are "all gospel, all the time?" And, can I also assume they are the only radio stations received there reliably? What a downer...

You're quite the detective, aren't you? But like many right-wing commentators, you've taken my remark out of context. As a matter of fact, KICY and KNOM are not all gospel, all the time, as another contributor pointed out. But even though I'm Christian and enjoy gospel music, I would consider it a shame if the only 2 radio stations available for hundreds of miles had exactly the same format.quadraphonic said:Sooooo.....What makes it sound like that?quadraphonic said:What makes it sound like that?fortmill said:Oh Lord, another right wing hate-talk wantobee for Charlotte....
The fact that numerous rim-shot and local signals have attempted to import that format deeper into the Charlotte market. Many of them are listed in a post above, but I'll list two more--960 and 1270 in Gaston County both increased their power and tried to broadcast right wing talk to Mecklenburg.
Are you assuming something that isn't there?

What in the world does Stephen King have to do with this, and what is bleeding heart radio? Honestly, I don't care what format WIXE comes up with.Jim said:fortmill said:Did anyone mention WBT or Limbaugh in this thread? I didn't think so. But the truth is, WBT is 100% conservative. Listen, I'm not here to debate politics. We don't agree. Just like millions of righties and lefties don't. As a matter of fact, I think it's against forum rules to discuss politics. However, exactly what station would you be referring too when you say "Not 'another' right wing......" WBT is obviously what you are referring too. WBCN is just plain irrelevant. Maybe WIXE will become bleeding heart radio. Then you'll be happy. Call up Stephen King, maybe he's interested in buying it/
Nah, not a detective. Just noticing sour trends when you disagree with stuff, like someone else mentioned. I remembered how you got shot down back then, and it stood out like a sore thumb, so it wasn't hard to find. The Alaska board isn't wildly active.fortmill said:You're quite the detective, aren't you?
