The Mighty 690 Flips

According to Eric Ashner on his show today, WIST will drop the music of the dead and go Sports/Talk. Keeping Eric Richie (proably spelled it wrong, My Apollogies), His show and Karre, adding the Dan Patrick Show and FOX Sports Radio. And a Bonus for Ned, Kenny Wilkerson will be on to. The flip is to happen around the first week of Jannuary.
 
I know my parents will be upset. They were enjoying all that music on 690. :p ::) ;D
 
As is usually the case with everything at 690, they are doing a format change half-a__. Eric and Kaare will continue talking about sports 1/2 the time and issues 1/2 the time and doing a poor job at both.

Wilkerson will be on Tuesday and Thursday from 6-7pm only.

So Satellite Sports from 5a-10a, then Eric Richey for 2 hours, then Eric and Kaare doing some sports and some issues, then back to Satellite Sports on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 6p-5a and from 7p-5a on Tuesday and Thursday.

This station can't do anything right and, no matter what they try, they'll never be able to sell the format as long as it is on satellite and with Kaaaaaarrrrrreeeeee Johnson.

Another brilliant idea from Dan Frazier.
 
I think it's a good move. Gus Kattengell and Larry Holder's new show in the mornings is solid.

You've gotta be some disgruntled ex-employee or something, nolaradiobuff. Your WIST posts have the tone of a jilted lover.
 
Since you're posting for the first time and taking a slam at someone, it's more likely that you are involved with WIST than me.

For the record, I've never worked for WIST and have no desire to, unless my new job title is "Owner". Then, at least, they wouldn't do everything half-a__ed and maybe, maybe since Kaare Johnson (by his own admission) owns the black audience from 3-6pm, he can return to his roots and do afternoons on WBOK and I don't even think WBOK would want Kaare. You can thank me later.


By the way, the morning hangover is good and better than Richey on Sports.

Not meant to be a slam, just an observation. I just signed up to the board, and had been browsing various topics. Noticed a trend in your posts, is all.

Agreed, the Morning Hangover has potential. I think WIST can turn things around, given a chance and a little time with the new format.
 
Boys....boys.....go to your rooms and you can come back out when your attitudes havce improved....and no dessert til next week !
 
It's all good. Hey at least we can agree on Gus & Larry and agree to disagree on Woodward & Bernstein (oops, sorry, Eric & Kaare).

And, as Kaare always says when he's patting himself on the back, "You can thank me later".
