THE MIKE SLATER SHOW -- In Tennessee????

sdwulfdawg said:
It would seem that the new Mike Slater Show on KFMB 760 is not out of San Diego, but he is probably broadcasting in boxer shorts or jammies from Jackson, Tennessee (located between Memphis and Nashville).

Check this out:

The poorly worded KFMB preess release did say, "I am excited about living in San Diego and exploring the issues that affect San Diegan’s as well as Californians and Americans,” but his web site does make KFMB seem like a a minor thing, almost the way some sites list affiliates.

It is just as cheesey as having someone delivering local news from NYC -- such as Karen Chase on ABC -- and trying to make it sound local.

I think this is a future item on sdradio.net so we may "stay tuned."

Christopher?

Mike Slater: local. Anna Good producer. Diana Smith there too.

Rick has been in studio for afternoon drive.

~~

Roger Hedgecock: syndicated and KOGO is his base.

LaDona Harvey and Chip Franklin: KOGO local.

Mark Larson KCBQ and KPRZ: San Diego based.

Rick Amato: KCBQ based.

~~

Dave Koz: syndicated to KiFM. San Diego drops.

Chris didn't say everyday for the Rickster. Might have been once, might have been when Chris posted, might have been last week. We want the dish Chris!

Not saying in Rick's case but if your morning talk drive is in afternoon drive .... doesn't that make you wonder how long that'll happen?

I could have swore that last night I saw on the back of a taxi that Mike Slater was coming to 740 KTRH here in Houston?? Maybe I'm wrong?

If I were Mike Slater and had the choice of cities to live in...Between tornado/flood/snow/ice Tennessee, Hurricaine/storm/humidity Houston, and lets see paradise San Diego, and in new studios at KFMB hummmmm I wonder what I would do ??
