The Modesto Ratings Are Out And KMPH-840 didn't make it!

Well the ratings for Modesto are out, and it seems that after a year on the air, Pappas Radio's KMPH-840 has yet to post any rating? Not even on Stockton's ratings. Its competitor, KVIN AM 920 The Vine is doing great and hasn't been hurt by the new KMPH-840. It is funny that Pappas Radio has done zilch in Modesto, first with their News Talk KTRB-860 and now with its replacement, Adult Standards KMPH-840. Is their a format change in its horizen?

Pappas isn't exactly known for radio... this is the same Pappas that couldn't bring 107.5 in Fresno with a GIGANTIC signal to anything over a one share... so they sold it, and the new owners immediately put a format on that broke any ratings records the station ever had. They should sell it... maybe they're trying to.

Yeah with all of mini billboards and advertising that I've seen for 840 around town it is pretty surprising that it didn't even crack the book.. Unique idea for a format, but looks like Modesto really doesn't need another standards station.

As for the Modesto book, looks like Citadel has alot to celebrate with KAT (which is pretty much a given) and the HAWK at the very top also with KWIN in the top 5 and KHOP seems to have won the battle with "the new" B 93 and KWIN seems to have kept Merced's 104.7 at bay in Modesto despite their aggressive promotion as the "209's Home for Hip Hop and R&B".

I'm wondering how did KYLD, KWIN, KHOP, KHTN and KMEL did in the teen and twenty-something demos in Modesto?

Have you seen the whole book? Or just the 12+ numbers? David are you out there? Who has the whole story?

I'm still wandering how did KYLD, KWIN, KHOP, KHTN and KMEL did in the 12-17, 18-34 and 18-49 demos in Modesto?
