The Moment Of Truth

There is a new game show airing on Fox Wednesday Nights called "The Moment
Of Truth".
Since it's debut a few weeks ago, the ratings have been strong, but my question
is, why are viewers interested in people's past mistakes?
Once again, television viewers will watch almost anything.
As for myself, if someone has done things wrong, it should not be made public
knowledge, leave it alone!

And thus you wouldn't have to go on the show. I personally have zero interest in the show, nor in shows like Wife Swap or Supernanny or Big Brother or what have you, but something clearly resonantes with them in other people. In many ways, it's nothing more than a modern twist on one of the oldest of human behaviors: gossip. Office gossip, school gossip, church gossip--a certain group of people have thrived on it for years, and it was only a matter of time before it could morph into a TV form.

I watched this show the past couple of weeks so I could make a judgement on it after several episodes -- not after a few minutes on just one -- and I don't think this show is all that. The dramatic pauses with the intense music to work up to the answer, just makes it cheezy, IMO.

I agree -- putting people on the carpet about their past "mistakes" or whatever is the attractiveness of this show. Personally, I don't see it. Maybe I was expecting more rivoting questions. :D

You know what?
I enjoy watching the Moment of Truth.

Ratings are good, and wether you like it or not 13 more episodes of the show have been ordered by Fox.
