The More Things Change...

The 12+ ratings for Spring 2007 are out on R&R and RadioInfo. Of course, these are the 12+ numbers. The real story will be seen in the demos.

Here are the Buffalo numbers from R&R, and RadioInfo.

Here are the Rochester numbers from R&R and RadioInfo.

In Buffalo:

WYRK gets fatter, while WBEN hits its lowest point in a long time.

97-Rock recovers from a poor Winter for 3rd place, ahead of a slumping WBLK.

WJYE is up, and joins WHTT and Star in a statistical dead heat 12+, with Kiss right behind.

The Edge is down a little, while Jack is steady.

WGR - and the Sabres - are steady. Let's see how they do without the Sabres this summer.

CHWO continues to climb with Standards, while WECK and WWKB are beaten by both WXRL and WUFO, and tied by WLVL in Lockport.

The Lake level drops- below CHWO, but triple WECK and WWKB.

WILD-X-Y-Z loses the gains it made in the Winter book, in spite of of Dave The Genius & the Kiss Outcasts.

In Rochester, the results are similar:

BEE buzzes up, while WHAM drops.

WDKX is down, but still 3rd.

WRRM is up sharply, while Buzz is down sharply - reversing the Winter numbers.

PXY is up a little, while Kiss is essentially flat.

WCMF and The Fox remain flat. Either Norton & Co. in Buffalo are grossly underpaid, or Wease & Co. are grossly overpaid.

WROC is still working its way down, below a 1-share. Both WYRK and The Lake beat them.

WYSL shows up for the second book in a row, but remains flat.

Amazing KB and WECK vs CHWO. You gotta wonder what the thinking is over at 1520 and 1230. How can management not see what's so plain to even the casual observer? It kinda makes me think WWKB and WECK have been set up to be losers.

We've heard all the arguements from the experts, nobody wants the upper demos, etc. Still I would think that lets say something like a 2.8 beats a 0.8 any day.

Hats off to Canada and AM 740.

Hats off indeed! Add in the fact that AM 740 is independently owned and operated.

None of the big guys are showing any interest in doing such a format.
