The Morning Show With Mike And Juliet

Have any of you heard of this dreck of a talk show? This show is going to replace an hour of Divorce Court here in San Antonio on KABB-FOX 29 starting July 8th. And seeing previews of this show, the sight of both of them would make anybody throw up. The guy giggles like a buffoon, and the girl laughs like someone on helium and our station shows these previews almost every hour. I thought that talk shows had died down somewhat, but with a disaster of a show like this one, this show needs to be cancelled in a huge hurry because of a bunch of crazy people hosting a talk show. And while they are at it, get rid of Springer and Maury as well.

...this thing has been running on WXOW/19 (ABC) La Crosse and KSAZ/10 (Fox) for the last couple of years. For me, it's just another excuse to turn off the TV and turn on the Sirius reciever for Howard Stern or Andrea Lowell. ;-) Seems as if Mike Jarrick is waiting for Regis Philbin to retire. Jarrick ain't gonna just move on in and clean up, tho...

I'll never forget the billboard I saw for that show on the New York subway in early 2007...

Juliet was holding a cup of coffee, and Mike had a pitcher of cream or milk, ready to pour it into the coffee. The way the pitcher was placed made it look like he was about to pour onto her...um, front.

Honestly, I think this show is better than Regis because they actually talk about a serious news topics and practical life applications rather than endless small talk and celebrity banter.

And the ONLY reason they do the serious approach is because they couldn't beat Regis & Kelly Live at their game. I remember when this show started, it looked like they were trying to be a carbon copy of R&K, wasn't long before people thumbed their noses at them and they did a 180 away from the R&K model.

Hm ... divorce court or talk show?

I think I vote for the talk show.

I happened to catch some of Mike & Juliet on WRTV last week. It was a "best of" show, but I thought it was watchable. There is a lot of this type of programming on TV, but it wasn't any worse than the similar shows.

If it were any decent, it could give "Regis" a run for its money. This fall, "Live" will only have Reege three days a week. Thursdays and Fridays (rumored to be taped) will have guest hosts.

And you should have seen what it looked like after graffiti artists had their way with it! ;D

Yup, I saw that graffiti, forgot to mention that.

IF that water DID end up down her front, I'd definitely watch! Juliet is a hottie!

Beyond that, it's drecksville. Just like all of those other light-as-a-souffle morning chat shows. Then again, I'm not in their desired audience demo.

This seems like FOX's attempt to duplicate "Live with Regis and Kelly" and of course doing it badly.

Well, you hit the nail on the head there. Fox is desperate to find a franchise in daytime for its syndication arm. This ain't it. Worse, they're trying out some wild big haired woman on some of their stations for 6 weeks starting monday - "The Wendy Williams Show"

I saw an interview with her and can't imagine watching more than 30 seconds of any show she is on.

This is just pathetic and desperate. Honestly, all of these recent efforts make Good Day Live look like a good show.
