The most snake bit frequency in D/FW has to be...........

KFCD 990AM. Tuned in to them last night on my way home to hear some good upbeat gospel music and I get.......MORE SPANISH. DANGIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh yeah, forgot to post that a couple of weeks ago...they're flipping to Spanish Religious. Whew...glad they found an unserved niche there. ::) Finally get an outlet for ABC's Rejoice, and they take it away. Me, I'd flip K-Soul or KRNB to Rejoice.

K-Soul. KRNB is doing better than they ever have.

Ever since 100.3 JAMZ left the airwaves, 100.3's ratings have been terrible. And, that's a great dial position. KRNB & KSOC both have signal issues, but 100.3 covers the Metroplex very well. I think if they would go Urban AC again, they'd be doing much better than they're doing with "JACK".

Well, the first question would be, does CBS own or lease an Urban AC format that's already implemented on 30-50 of their stations, has one national PD, and the entire "airstaff" only costs you an occasional $10/hour for a board op to load up a hard drive with the week's songs? Until then, I think we're stuck with Jack.

Besides, who in this f-ed up world of radio today would spend the time AND money AND do the research to put together a dynamic, barrier-crossing, cutting-edge station like 100.3 Jamz? I couldn't imagine "today's" version, complete with voicetracking, no community involvement, a song list programmed out of New York, and just a generic flavor. Hats off to Elroy Smith and the gang for giving us a "moment in time" that we'll never hear on the airwaves again.

Amen.... R.I.P. 100.3 Jamz. IMO there will never be another DFW urban like Jamz. Many big names came through the doors of that station

this may sound, well..brain dead, but l loved 100.3 when it was "wild"
why did this not work ?
(NOW, in my defense) i am a tourist, who brings an audio tape
to D/FW when i visit a friend who grew up in buffalo - and...

yea, i air check the radio dial, when i visit. i know....
but anyways, i recall, wild 100/3FM, being well, pretty "wild"
(esp. on the weekends) and what ever happened to that
party @ 106.7 ??? did it just go all spanish, and that was the end of that -

(i actually have a rejection letter), yea..i know, but, at least they took the time,
to tell me, i suck!!! /it was from 106.7FM.

-
and, final inquiry:
is there any station selling/in around the d/FW listener base, and if so,
what is the absurd asking price?

thank you.
