What in the Wide, Wide World of Sports is a goin' on at KFWhyEye? Monday morning, in addition to Barry Markson for TNBO, it was KOY, EVA 95~Five, Fox Sports and something else at the same time. On the same station. Only took about a half hour for the massive Clear Channel engineering department to straighten it out. All Nurse Jeff and I can say is it's obvious no one at HQ has an Ancient Modulation receiver tuned to 5~Fifty :eek:
 
I don't listen to KOY, so I didn't hear it, but you mean it was like listening to five different radio stations on the same frequency at once?

Gad, that would turn me into a blithering idiot in about a total time of two seconds, if I didn't drop-kick my radio into the apartment swimming pool first!

Simply going to a store where one part has so-and-so kind of music and another has a different kind of music (so in certain areas of the store you're within earshot of two radios playing different things at the same time) drives me up the bloody walls!
 
I usually have KOY streaming in the morning but didn't do so this morning. Wonder if it was only an OTA event or if the stream was affected as well.

I can't receive KOY OTA where I live so the stream is it (with IT being in stereo!).

The stream was affected as well. The feed switched to some other station (I couldn't ID) and the guys on the air mentioned that they were suddenly hearing another station in their headphones. Strange...
 
Sounds like Raul was busy eating a chorizo burrito and finding someone to translate for him...

Seems like this happens on CC stations semi-frequently. What causes this?

That chorizo burrito sounds pretty good...too bad it generates all that methane. But just crank the window and it usually goes its merry way!
 
I heard it & thought it was my radio, then I checked it on another one & then switched to another station. It really didn't matter because as soon as I heard that pompus-ass Barry Markson, I was going to flip the dial anyway. I can't stomach that guy. He is so full of himself.

Is there no one else in Phoenix that can fill in for BY besides Markson?
Even that lady that sings her flooring commercails would be a step up.

I heard it too, maybe Marxium is too liberal for the station's electronics and they rebelled . It is funny how the side-chick agrees with both Barry's, guess that is her job that and laughing at things that are not funny.
 
I think they had the KKNT engineer sitting in for the day.

As for Markson...he is great, the guy has a brain, and isn't afraid to actually explain rather than just invoke, like other hosts.
 
If marxium is so great then why don't people clap for him the way they do the Number 1 Barry? No one ever claps for the fill-in host, oooooohhhhh ahhhh.
