The Music Sounds Best on WABC!!!

With WABC doing four hours of oldies on Saturday nights... is there any chance that a certain sister station in Chicago might bring back the music that graced it's airwaves for so many years? Or would that hurt WZZN too bad....

I would love to hear a few if the old tunes on WLS.....

It would be so cool if WLS brought back the "Musicradio" on Saturday nights too. I can get WLS here in Ohio and I sure would be listening if they did! That sure would bring back some childhood memories of living in the Chicagoland area during that era!

Even better would be if they could get Landecker to do the show.
I miss his show.

Anything to get "super shannon" off the air in the windy city.

It only took them 5(?) years to notice the shares that NJ101.5
pulls on weekends when they dump talk and play 70s/80s tunes??
Groundbreaking!

And, aren't they're still in AM stereo?

That would be great, except here in Boston, there's an ESPN station on 890 that blocks them out. WLS used to be loud and clear here most nights before they came on. They still sometimes put up enough of a fight in the background to make the ESPN unlistenable in town on peak skywave nights.

They aren't a daytime only station? There's a station here in Columbus at 880 kHz and they are a daytime only station because of 880 WCBS, so i'm surprised to hear a 890 that is not a daytime only station except WLS and the 890 out west that i'm sure is a Class A too.

No, 890 WAMG Dedham is licensed for 3400 watts on 5 towers overnight and 25,000 on those towers daytime. Most of the signal is over the Atlantic at all times.

Class B actually.
