Sometimes it seems to me that computers are only gadgets that permit ever deeper disengagement from imagination and consideration.
As I continue to keep an eye open for a change of employment, I see lots of PLC/servo/HMI
positions within industry, but little otherwise. This means all problems in control/automation have been
assigned to the realm of PLC control, even if that's the worst, stupidest, and most expensive way to do it.
