Part of the problem is the NBA Finals are owned by ESPN Radio. At one time, Dallas had KESN. Not any more. When the station was sold, the question was who would get the ESPN affiliation. The Ticket has run some exclusives, but I think they have a conflict tonight. KRLD has the Rangers. So one would think the freak would do it because of the relationship with the Mavericks. But it's possible that ESPN wants a commitment. So that's my guess about the situation.

I guess not having a team in the Finals makes a difference. I can remember when i worked at KLIF, I ran the board for all the NBA playoff games they carried from NBA Radio and the NBA on ESPN Radio. Times have changed. oh well. I just have to listen to the app when I am in my vehicle.
Maybe. Listen around tonight. ESPN needs a Dallas clearance, and perhaps they've found a rimshot or an AM in the area that they can make a deal with. It'll be the same thing with the Stanley Cup. Maybe the Ticket has it, but isn't promoting it.
if they had either, they would be promoting it. I think the KTCK and KEGL will make more money running repeats than championship series. If the Stars made the Cup Finals, of course they would be airing the games since they are the flagship radio station.
