Being that it is Dec. 26th and many full time jocks in town have the day off, I wouldn't say anyone is jobless just yet. Even if they go jockless all week, one could think it's a game to get the word out and bring back the takent next week. I have no inside, but i would expect to hear Dean and Rach back on air soon.

The bigger question...WHY CHANGE? Are you feeling pressure from 97.7? Doubt it...probably more from your own Pirate than anything else. The music list on the webpage is...interesting. Trying to get "younger sounding" will entail a hell of a lot more than just adjusting the music. And what about Delilah?
I think its probably a case of new consultant...changing to show change.

Well, I think this is a very interesting move for AGM. This is more than just a face lift, they have changed the identity of their station.
To say it has nothing to do with 97.7, I think is kind of silly. I don't think they would have made this move if there wasn't a competitor in town. I don't think they are necessarily scared of 97.7, but it certainly prompted them to become a little less sleepy.
If anything, I think this is a little closer to Pirate than anything else. The jocks will probably be the same, but the mix is kind of an older man's Pirate. We'll see how it shakes out and what this means for 93.1, 97.7 and 101.5.

So, I did a little research and found that TRACY JOHNSON, the man who wrote the Morning Show books has been their consultant for 2 years, so this is not a new consultant idea. I wasn't even aware that he was a consultant, thought he programmed some stations in New York. Feeling pressure from their own station? Now that would be odd..
