The New 105.1

105.1 WHEL is back. Now it's The New 105.1, with what sounds like a Hot AC format? I'm guessing they are stunting, but I noticed you can help pick the music they play at their website. If you live in the Northeast Atlanta Metro, 105-3 The Buzz is gone again. Likely good news for 99X. ;D

http://thenew1051.com/index9.htmlI noticed it's not as powerful as it once was. ??? When it was Viva 105.1, listening to 105-3 The Buzz was almost impossible in parts of Atlanta's northern suburbs. I can remember the problems here in north Gwinnett and in Forsyth County. I'm sure it will be just as powerful as it once was in another week or two though. They are switching formats to give listeners a chance to preview all the possible choices listed on their site and let you know what the "leading" choice is. You can select one of their formats (or write-in your own) and share info (name, phone, city, current favorite station, etc.) on yourself. On June 1 at 1:05 PM, the winning format will air. I don't know if they already have a format chosen or if this is for real? Keep that in mind as you vote. ;)
