As part of an official announcement on CNN's website that Kathleen Parker is leaving the network - as was speculated earlier - the network revealed its plans for the 8 PM hour starting next week:

Ken Jautz, CNN executive vice president, said a new program, called "In the Arena," will begin Monday. Spitzer will remain on that show, which will adopt "an ensemble format with several newsmakers, guests and contributors joining Eliot Spitzer each night..."
The article also notes that Parker will still show up on the network from time to time to "provide her insights and commentary." Well, isn't that why most people appear on cable news networks?
