The New 94.5 FM...One month later

Who likes it? Who hates it? What are they doing right, and what could they do better?

i like it...29/male. it's made it up to #4 preset here in north alabama, after Q-107, rocket 95.1, the vulcan 105.5....

i do find myself stopping there a lot....but i haven't listened nonstop EVER yet. so...perhaps i'm not burnt out yet.

And therein lies the problem. 29 year old men like it. Here's the quote from Dale Daniels at sign on: "[t]he target (audience) of the radio station will have a female lean to it, really focusing on women between the ages of 30 and 40,". Nowhere NEAR their target. He mentioned core artists like Avril Lavigne, Kelly Clarkson, etc. A Hot AC/Adult top 40. Yesterday I heard STP into Daniel Powter. What? The station sounds like crap. You have a good topical female oriented morning show and then 94 in a row of crap. Did I mention it's crap. There is a gaping hole between Q and Magic and they are not filling it.

Hey, I gotta idea...

Let's build a time machine and travel back to the late 80's when 94.5 was Birmingham's All Hit I-95. LOL.

But as a former 95 jock, it's in my heart...The jocks, the jingles, the Dude Walker drops... the 2 hour power rotations... LOL.

Peace!
