the new 95X

So I've been listening to 95X for a couple days since they tweaked their format/changed their voice guy. I like how they've gone back to how 95X used to sound pre-O'Dell, much more fitting of their "heritage" status. Also very upbeat and it held me a lot longer than it normally does. However, I do have one complaint. 95X back in the old days did still play some newer stuff, if only 2-3 times an hour, while now it seems like they're not playing any new rock at all. And of course, they still have that albatross of a morning show dragging them down. Aside from that though, I think this was a good move and shows the new guy in charge there is committed to keeping 95X a rock station.

the dog part 2

wow.
bold move re-adding the 'usual suspects' from the classic rock library and some new sweepers...kinda like buying a dozen new row boats for New Orleans.
Too little,too late.
heh.

X-tra, X-tra

C'mon, Scott. You don't think that P.O.D. meets Pink Floyd, or Staind meets Supertramp, will work in the 'Cuse?

Beaner & Weiner would make a decent morning show for a Hot A/C maybe, but they ain't got the right approach for a ROCK station. Not that Lunch Pail or Gomez & Dave are exciting, but at least they have the right sound for their respective stations.

Alexis is almost as exciting as RDS data or the digital display off of a satellite station. Stone has the uncanny ability to move through multiple elements in a stopset without ever changing his inflection. Breakers that are :30 long? WTF is that all about? We won't even talk about the variation in music quality from song to song.

It should be fun to watch when the book comes out this week.

Listened today and they do sound like WWDG. The voice guy is great but they produced him like crap. Music was the same as WWDG.<P ID="signature">______________
