What's controversial about it?

Basically, it was touted to be a really great Urban AC before it launched last week, and now all of the local radio "geeks" are upset about the outcome of the flip. The format they launched doesn't really fall in to any category and is too "all over the place" for the likes of East Texans. See the Texas board for more detailed info.

Essentially another "Jack"? Get used to it (for a while), it's the big fad format of 2005.
