The New Current TV

Their new primetime lineup looks intriguiging with TYT @ 7:00 PM ET, Countdown @ 8:00 PM & the new War Room @ 9:00 PM (Although I don't believe the latter will ever come close to TRMS on MSNBC)

Thoughts?

Cheers & 73 ;D

Well you have to admit the TYT set is FAR more technically advanced than the Countdown set is so its no wonder why Keith is griping a bit

Add to the fact that he had to anchor the network's coverage of the Iowa Caucuses & the primaries in NH, SC & Florida from the home studios in NYC while CNN, FNC & MSNBC each had teams in their studios AND the states & it's a wonder that Keith is still with Current TV

Cheers & 73 ;D

Whether it is radio or television, if you're going to be successful, you must make your program lineup of "appointment" caliber, meaning that you need to draw in your audiences so they want to tune in everyday to see what you're up to. This is what has been so lacking in Current's program lineup. Nothing on their program lineup compels you to want to tune in everynight. O'Reilly on FNC has his basic format everynight, but he keeps it fresh.

You'll always have your "Olbermannbots," but even there you have to go beyond that in your program approach. The first mistake they made was for Olbermann to replicate his show the way it was on MSNBC. You have to do something different, switch things around, etc. I can see that MSNBC was happy to get rid of Olbermann to the point that they didn't care if he took his namesake show with him...they just wanted to be done with that notorious hothead.

I can't see why a cable/satellite provider would want to bother themselves to be charged 12 cents per subscriber to carry Current.

"War Room" on a left-leaning network... I thought they were against war - but I digress...
